the 2008 Meet & Mingle - Reinvented

On February 25, 2008, WICT Greater Philadelphia kicked off 2008 with a bang at their annual Meet and Mingle event. To begin the evening, Sarah Weinstein, WICT Philadelphia’s programming chairperson, announced the 2008 Reinvent Yourself campaign. This year, members of WICT Philadelphia will have the opportunity to reinvent themselves both personally and professionally at our new and improved (“reinvented” if you will) events. Those who attended the Meet and Mingle at Lucky Strike Lanes know that she’s not kidding. This event gave WICT members the opportunity to bowl on a team of fellow cable colleagues – and best of all, each team was led by one of our industry’s top leaders. Team leaders included:

- Charlotte Field – SVP of Systems Engineering, Comcast
- Jen Gaiski – SVP of Content Acquisition, Comcast
- Suzanne Keenan - SVP of Human Resources, Comcast
- Michael Ortman - VP of Programming, Comcast Eastern Division
- Chris Patterson - VP of Engineering, Comcast Eastern Division
- Ray Roundtree - VP of Finance, Comcast Central PA Region
- Becky Scilingo - VP of Governance, Comcast
- Kathleen Sullivan, Regional VP of Government Affairs, Comcast
- Tina Waters – SVP of Customer Service Operations, Comcast
In the laid back, upbeat atmosphere of Lucky Strike Lanes, members found themselves feeling more comfortable with networking. After all, they were bowling with some of the top executives in the business – has there ever been a better time to strike up a conversation about your accomplishments and goals? The combination of professionalism, competition, and good old fun made this event a big hit with WICT Philadelphia members. While bowling the night away, members exclaimed, “This is the best WICT event I’ve been to!” and “I hope all of this year’s events are like this!”
And of course, what is a competition without a winner? The night was capped off when Team Avgiris was announced as the winner of the 2008 WICT Greater Philadelphia Meet and Mingle. Each member of Team Avgiris was congratulated with a DVD set of hit TV shows like Desperate Housewives, Lost, and Greys Anatomy.
