Meet Czarina – Senior Consultant, IT Advisory at EY!

Describe your role & what you love about it.

I am a Senior Consultant in the IT Advisory practice where I primarily work as a technical business analyst in the software development space. What I love about my role is being able to work closely with the business stakeholders to help improve their business processes but also in the weeds of documenting technical requirements for the development teams to help build out the technical solutions. It is always super rewarding seeing the solutions being built then delivered to the end users and gathering their feedback to continuously improve their experience.

How have other women inspired you or helped shape your career?

It is amazing to now see so many woman in such a male-dominated industry: for both telecommunications and technology. Being able to attend conferences and events where women share their experiences in the workforce and how they have broke through those barriers is truly inspiring. I had the opportunity to attend the WICT Leadership Conference and the Wonder Women Luncheon a few years in a row and all of speeches the honorees and speakers have made continue to give me inspiration to make an impact in this industry. Women have come far, but we still have so much more we can do. I only hope to be as inspiring of a role model for generations after me as the women I’ve had the pleasure to know and worked with.

What is something that most people don’t know about you?

I have always wanted to own my own restaurant. I love to cook and bake. I hope to one day open my own little cafe where I can serve up my favorite Filipino dishes and desserts!

Why do you think WICT is important?

WICT has continued to open so many doors for me. While WICT offers the typical networking and educational opportunities, it has also helped me with cultivating my leadership and mentorship skills. This organization continues to provide opportunities to develop the skills needed to be an effective leader. The benefits of being part of WICT are endless and what you make of it. I can honestly say I wouldn’t be where I am today in my career without the relationships I’ve built from the women and men I’ve met through this organization.
