and Jennifer Allyn, managing director of Diversity at PwC, discuss the state of
diversity and inclusion in our industry and across Corporate America
and how women can advance in their careers.

About Mini Timmaraju:
Mini Timmaraju has over 20 years of professional experience leading federal, state and local campaigns, as well as advocacy efforts for non-profit organizations. She has an extensive background on gender issues and community outreach strategies. She currently serves as an Executive Director on the Diversity and Inclusion team for Comcast NBCUniversal, based out of their corporate headquarters in Philadelphia, PA.
From 2015 to 2016, she served as Hillary for America’s National Women’s Vote Director, leading the historic campaign’s planning and implementation of its strategy to maximize women’s participation in the election. This involved engaging with a variety of stakeholders—Members of Congress, donors, advocacy groups, volunteers, and the media— to mobilize grassroots support.
Prior to this role, Mini was the National Director of the National Council of Asian Pacific Americans, where she managed legislative, advocacy and communications strategy for a coalition of 34 Asian Pacific American organizations. Mini has also served as the Chief of Staff to Congressman Ami Bera M.D. (D, CA-7)). Her other professional experience includes various roles with Planned Parenthood Federation of America (PPFA), including Director of PPFA’s Office of the President.
During her early career, Mini held a number of leadership positions in state and local political organizations in South Carolina, Oklahoma, Tennessee, New Hampshire, Texas and New Delhi, India.
Mini received her Bachelor’s degree from the University of California-Berkeley and completed her J.D. at the University of Houston Law Center where she was the recipient of the Joan Garfinkle Glantz award for outstanding work in the field of civil rights and the Class of 1999 Distinguished Service Award.
About Jennifer Allyn:
Jennifer Allyn is a Managing Director in the US Firm of PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP. She is responsible for designing strategies to retain, develop, and advance diverse professionals at the firm. Ms. Allyn also serves on PwC’s global diversity council, which drives alignment among member firms across territories.
Ms. Allyn is a recognized D&I subject matter expert and has been widely quoted in the media including the Wall Street Journal, New York Times, Washington Post, and Forbes.com. Jennifer hosts Pursuit of Happinessa PwC podcast exploring how people juggle work and everything else. Among her many accomplishments, Jennifer spearheaded PwC’s enhanced parental leave policy, which includes a phased return option at full-time pay. She was instrumental in developing the firm’s first PwC Talks interview with Sheryl Sandberg and is a featured expert on LeanIn.org discussing Communicating with Confidence. In 2017, PwC launched CEO Actionthe largest CEO-driven business commitment to advance diversity and inclusion in the workplace.
Prior to joining PwC, Jennifer was a senior consultant at Catalyst where she advised a diverse group of Fortune 500 clients, among them PwC. She is a recipient of the 2016 Ted Childs Life Work Excellence Awardfrom Working Mother Media,the Diversity Champion Awardfrom the American Conference on Diversity, and the 2008 Crossing Borders Awardfrom The Feminist Press. Jennifer is a graduate of Brown University, earned her Masters’ in Public Policy from theHarvard Kennedy School and currently serves on Barnard College’s Athena Leadership Council.
