What do you do for work and what do you love about it and what is most challenging?

As EVP of Commerce Platforms at QVC, I am responsible for leveraging the unique capabilities of TV, web, mobile, tablet and social – while delivering the QVC brand experience across all platforms to drive customer engagement and sales. At QVC, we have made investments that allow us to be flexible and nimble and to keep pace with today’s latest technology and our customers. I love the challenge of driving platform advancements, content, and digital innovations that are changing the face of retail. For me, the biggest challenge is fostering innovation while also creating a seamless and consistent brand experience regardless of how our customers choose to engage with us.

How have other women inspired you or helped shape your career?

I have had a number of female mentors who took a genuine interest in my career and were open in sharing their experiences and learnings. These mentors were instrumental in helping me make the right connections to grow my professional network. One of the most important aspects of a mentor relationship is embracing objective feedback which can inspire new and different ways of thinking.

What is your favorite TV show and/or movie?

I love all things sci-fi including the classic “Star Trek” series and History Channel’s “Ancient Aliens”. The sci-fi genre offers the perfect blend of technology, science and humanity’s future and really encourages you to ponder life’s “what ifs”.

What is something that most people don’t know about you?

I’m very superstitious – numbers and lucky objects hold significant meaning to me. Perhaps I should have been a baseball player!

What do you like most about WICT and why do you think it’s important?

I am a strong believer in WICT’s mission to help advance women as leaders in the industry. It is our responsibility as women in executive roles to develop the next level of leaders. In order to empower others to succeed, I strive to create an environment where my team feels safe to take risks and explore new ideas and concepts. Additionally, the WICT Touchstone of “be a catalyst and set the wheels of change in motion” inspires me to be a constant champion for change and innovation across QVC’s platforms and customer experience.
