Meet Kim! Senior Manager, Sales Operations for Comcast Business

What do you do for work and what do you love about it and what is most challenging?
I work within the Comcast Business organization, collaborating closely with all SMB Sales Channels. My responsibilities extend to all three divisions in supporting the Sales Centers’ day-to-day operations with all applications and systems. I oversee our telemarketing compliance efforts across SMB Sales channels, working closely with compliance vendors and legal to ensure our dialing policy and procedures are enforced. I also manage the relationships with our 3rd Party Business Partners that augment our internal teams, anywhere from additonal outbound dialing programs to vendors that provide tools that are used by our sales reps.

What I love most and what’s challenging actually might be the same thing, it’s a fast paced environment and it’s always a whirlwind of activity every day. For the most part, I have of my days planned out with specific goals I’d like to achieve but there’s always a possibility of special projects that fall into my lap or when our systems and tools have ‘hiccups’ that require me to refocus. This role definitely keep sme on my toes

How have other women inspired you or helped shape your career?
Oh, the list is endless! I’ve been fortunate to have so many strong and inspiring people in my life to help me along the way from the women in my family to the countless women I’ve met throughout my 13-year career here at Comcast. I grew up in a household that education was at the top of your priorities list, that did not end once I graduated college and found a job. I caught early on in my career that ‘success’ is always being open to learn something new, be curious about things and ask questions. I can say that I learn something new every day.

My first manager at Comcast opened many doors for me, introduced me to people in organizations all across the Comcast Enterprise. She’d open the doors but it was up to me to take the opportunites and ‘run with it.”

What is your favorite TV show and/or movie?
I absolutely love all Philadelphia Sport teams! When I’m watching TV, it’s most likely the E-A-G-L-E-S, Phillies, Flyers or Penn State Football!

What is something that most people don’t know about you?
I wanted to be a chef or pastry chef growing up…I’d say my cooking skills are good but can’t bake a cookie or cake to save my life, my cakes are flat as a pancakes and my cookies are hard as a rocks!

I do dream of one day owning my own restuarant that serves Pho, Banh Mi and Bubble Tea that’s only open for business during lunchtime! Maybe even get one of those fancy food carts and park myself right outside the Comcast Center.

What’s your role with WICT? What did you enjoy most about that role?
Currently, I’m on the event volunteer roster for WICT Philadelphia. I usually go for the “Check-In” station so that I can meet and greet all the event participants. I love meeting new people and also catching up with fellow WICT members.

Why do you think WICT is important?
WICT provides a platform for its members to be connected, learn and share not only professional but personal experiences with one another experiences. WICT events provides so many networking possibilities and there’s always a new connection to be made.
