Open Board Positions

The WICT Philadelphia Board has the following open positions available.  The Succession Planning Committee will review all applications and will notify applicants.

Applications are due by EOD Friday, October 22. 


Chapter Relations Manager (Mentorship)
  • Works with the Mentoring Directors to provide whatever assistance is needed.
  • May be asked to step into one of the Director positions, if a vacancy occurs during the year.
  • Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, assisting with:
    • Planning and running the annual Mentorship Program
    • Tracking and maintaining any program details (e.g., applications, documents, invoices, etc)
    • Interfacing with the Communications team for any communications needs
Chapter Relations Manager (Sponsorship)
  • Works with the Sponsorship Directors to provide whatever assistance is needed
  • May be asked to step into one of the Director positions, if a vacancy occurs during the year
  • Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, assisting with:
    • planning the annual Sponsor Reception
    • notifying sponsors of upcoming events and available benefits
    • interfacing with the Communications team for any communications/marketing needs
Programming Manager
  • Works with the Programming Directors to provide whatever assistance is needed.
  • May be asked to step into one of the Director positions, if a vacancy occurs during the year
  • Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, assisting with:
    • planning and delivering quality programming events
    • tracking and maintaining program details (e.g., speakers, registrations, invoices, meetings notes, etc.)
    • interfacing with the Communications team for any communications/marketing needs
Scholarship Director
  • Works with the Chapter Relations Chair to decide which events the Chapter will provide scholarships for
  • Purchases tickets or registration spots for these events
  • Ensures all communication and/or marketing needs are submitted to the Communications Team on a timely basis
  • Works with the President, Vice President and Chapter Relations Chair to select the scholarship recipients for each event
  • Notifies the scholarship recipients and ensures they submit all qualified receipts in a timely manner
    • Submit all receipts to Finance and manage all associated expenses
  • Reviews annual budget with the Finance Directors
Communications Manager
  • Works with the various Communication team members to provide whatever assistance is needed
  • May be asked to step into one of the Director positions if a vacancy occurs during the year
  • Monitors WICT email during events
  • Creates Survey Monkey links for event surveys
  • Shares newsletter (Scoop) with Global and members from all teams to get feedback
  • Gathers content for Scoop – finds WoW, DYK article content
  • Gathers content for email communications and shares with the communications specialists when compiled
  • Sends weekly registration counts to the programming team when events are scheduled
  • Update slides for monthly board meetings
Creative Manager
  • Create promo images for all events and social media postings
  • Create new headers for the website and new email templates
  • Support and create needs for any other area of the Board (e.g., Programming, Sponsorship, Mentorship, etc.)
  • Responsible for ensuring that a consistent, professional, and credible chapter identity is presented to the public and to the membership in all communications
  • Preview images for website content (e.g., WoW, Event Recaps, Did You Know, The Scoop, Announcements, etc.)
  • Responsible for invitations, one-sheets, signage, and all public-facing collateral materials for all programming events
  • Responsible for ensuring that all materials are reviewed and approved by the Executive board and Global before publication
Operations Manager
  • Works with the Finance Directors to provide whatever assistance is needed
  • Generates Sponsorship invoices and monthly Accounts Receivable Aging reports
  • May be asked to step into one of the Director positions if a vacancy occurs during the year
Tech It Out Directors (2 Opened Positions) – Signature Event
  • Responsible for creating and leading an active committee involved in planning and executing annual technical program
  • Works closely with the Finance Director to assure that financial objectives with respect to particular programs are met
  • Communicates with other board members to ensure professional and timely delivery of program and event plans
  • Responsible for ensuring each program is fiscally responsible before incurring expenses and approvals for all programs are obtained from the Executive Board before moving forward with an event
  • Prepares event summary recap after each event and assists with all program surveys in an appropriate time frame
Webmaster
  • Attends the WICT Global MARCOM/webmaster webinar held at the beginning of the year
  • Responsible for overall coordination and updating of all websites and/or chapter web pages’ content, information, and functionality.
  • Manages relationship with web hosting vendor or with WICT Global, as appropriate.
  • Must have experience with WordPress and be able to keep all main sections of the website up to date including sponsorships, Board members, and Scholarships.
  • Post new events
  • Post news/blog articles from the scoop (e.g., WoW, The Scoop, DYK, etc.)
WICT Philly Gives Back Director – Signature Event
