Linda Brodsky Cooper is one of the pioneers of cable television. Brodsky’s cable career began at the University of Pennsylvania, where she wrote a paper about the nascent “pay TV” industry in the 1960s. This led to a very successful career in various influential positions in the industry at notable companies such as, Jerrold Electronics, Warner Cable Corp., BroadBand Communications Inc., and Bresnan Communications. As part of her commitment to women in the industry, Linda was a founding board member of WICT national and also created WICT’s New York Chapter, becoming its first president in 1979. For all of her accomplishments, Brodsky was inducted into the Cable TV Pioneers Class of 1992.
