Did you know November is National Gratitude Month?
We’re entering the holiday season and Thanksgiving is right around the corner – it’s the perfect time to think about gratitude. For example, we’re grateful for WICT’s strong network of fierce women … and that today is National Gingerbread Cookie Day. Looking for a way to observe? We’ve got you covered.
Meet Angel – Communication Manager,National Call Center Sales at Comcast!
Describe your role & what you love about it.
I serve as the lead for internal communication for the National Call Center Sales team, and also as the liaison for external agent-facing communication and comms platforms targeted toward our 5,000 call center sales agents in partnership with other internal communication teams, division partners, Comcast University, and product teams. I am so passionate about people and I believe that communication and transparency are the key to building relationships, trust, and knowledge with others. But most of all, my team is my second family and working with them inspires me and makes me love my job more every day!
How have other women inspired you or helped shape your career?
I have been fortunate to have some amazing female leaders so far in my career who have taught me the importance of confidence, accountability, and “reaching back” to support other women at different stages of their careers. I think every woman in this industry or any other professional career has felt some of the same concerns and pressures and as female colleagues and leaders have shared their own knowledge, experiences, and influences with me it has prepared me for challenges and opportunities in my own career.
What is something that most people don’t know about you?
Prior to my career in communications, I had a career in professional theatre! I have directed nearly a dozen plays and served as a producer, stage manager, and crew member for many others.
Why do you think WICT is important?
The relationships I have made through WICT events and my time on the WICT Philly board have opened up so many doors for me. The members of WICT are so passionate about this organization because they believe in the power of the network and support that it provides to its members. Through their events and national programs WICT does such a great job of elevating female leaders and inspiring women who are just beginning their careers in this industry to know what is possible to achieve with commitment, mentorship, and support from each other and from organizations like WICT.
