What is DevOps? (Spoiler alert: it’s short for software development & IT operations.) He works with Global Media and Entertainment customers as they transform their businesses and journey to the cloud. He currently holds 12 AWS certifications and has published several technical blogs. Prior to joining AWS he was a Sr Principal at CA Technologies. He attended the Indian Institute of Technology, Roorkee where he received a Bachelors of Technology in Electrical Engineering, and speaks three languages.

Amazon Web Services offers the broadest and deepest set of machine learning services and supporting cloud infrastructure. This puts machine learning in the hands of every developer, data scientist, and expert practitioner.
Suchitra is a manager at the Amazon Machine Learning Solutions Lab, where she leads a team of data scientists on customer-facing ML initiatives across verticals such as sports, automotive, healthcare, and more, from ideation to development of ML solutions. Prior to joining AWS, Suchitra was Founder and CEO of Satva.ai, an AI-powered health and wellness platform. Before this, she served as the Director of R&D at Nauto, where she led and built a team of 10 CV/ML/data scientists to develop and deploy several product features towards driver safety and driver behavior analysis. During her postdoctoral work at the University of California San Diego, Suchitra developed computer vision techniques for infant biometrics to facilitate efficient immunization programs in Africa, a project funded by Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation. She has a Ph.D. in computer science from Nanyang Technological University, Singapore where her thesis focused on the use of CV/ML for developing advanced driver assistance systems. Suchitra has over 25 publications in international peer-reviewed conferences and journals, and has 10 US patents filed (5 granted).
