As we bid farewell to another transformative year, let’s reflect on the incredible journey we've shared as a community committed to empowering women leaders in media, entertainment, and technology.
In navigating the programming landscape, our touchstones were not just guiding principles but integral components of each event. We partnered with our sponsors, employee resource groups (ERGs), and organizations such as NAMIC to provide broader exposure and resources for our membership. Together we provide a diverse offering of mission-aligned programming that addressed the unique challenges of women. Events such as "Allyship in Action", "Women Thriving in Male Dominated Industries", "My Inspirement", "Story Time to Spark Your Growth", "Tech It Out" and "My Climb up the Corporate Ladder" stand as testaments to our unwavering dedication to transformative learning and leadership development. These types of programs enable us to provide stronger allyships, amplify networking, and address nuanced career development at every stage of the career journey.
The WICT Network: Greater Philadelphia is committed to providing support for women at every stage of their lives from High School to Retirement and beyond, "WICT goes with you". Our STEM scholarships help to foster the next generation of leaders by supporting young women who are pursuing degrees in STEM-related fields. Our mentoring program has garnered positive feedback, with mentees expressing gratitude for expanding their networks, gaining valuable career advice and connecting with mentors who understand their goals. Mentors, in turn, appreciate the value of the speaker sessions and the overall programming. We also offer our members learning and growth opportunities that may otherwise be inaccessible to them, such as The WICT Network Executive Development Series (EDS). Our annual charitable event, WICT Philly Gives Back generated a $11,000 donation to support "Unite for HER", a non-profit organization dedicated to helping women during and after a breast cancer diagnosis. This is a cause and organization that has directly touched several members of our community and we are proud to help them continue their efforts.
