Spotlighting Community Impact: Honorable Luis Muñoz-Marín Elementary School

The WICT Network: Greater Philadelphia is proud to spotlight the Honorable Luis Muñoz-Marín Elementary School during this season of giving back. Located in the Fairhill section of Philadelphia, the school creates access by promoting academic excellence, diverse experiences and independent thinking as students become changemakers in their own communities. They are a diverse, collaborative and data-driven community that empowers students to achieve postsecondary success.

A Mission Rooted in Whole-Child Education

The Honorable Luis Muñoz-Marín Elementary School family strives to educate the whole child mentally, physically and socially. As a dual-language Pre-K through eighth grade school, they focus on academic excellence and social responsibility through a Spanish and English bilingual education program.

A Pillar of Legacy and Community Strength

The school is a longtime pillar of the neighborhood, with many students following in the footsteps of parents who once walked the same halls. This tradition has created a powerful legacy of community, support and excellence.

Supporting Families This Thanksgiving

This Thanksgiving season, many students and families have been affected by recent cuts to government programs such as SNAP. To support children and families during this challenging time, the school has assembled a Thanksgiving food drive and is accepting nonperishable food donations to help members of its community.
