Meet our Facilitator

ree

Elizabeth Horton is a transformational leader who excels at turning complex technologies into clear, measurable business outcomes. With a wealth of experience across manufacturing, construction, distribution, and consulting, she thrives in dynamic environments where creativity, innovation, and a customer-first mentality are the keys to success.

But her achievements extend far beyond the boardroom. As a mother of nine children, four of whom were foster children, and a grandmother to three grandsons and a granddaughter (just born 7/16), Elizabeth understands the importance of nurturing and empowering people. A loving wife and a proud military brat, she’s lived in many countries and states, which has given her a profound appreciation for diverse cultures and the strength found in embracing differences.

In her career, Elizabeth has led enterprise transformations that have driven over $20M in savings, negotiated multimillion-dollar contracts, and implemented customer-centric strategies that have resulted in a 98% retention rate. She’s a firm believer that business success is rooted in relationships, both with customers and with teams—and she’s built a track record of cultivating high-performing teams that consistently exceed expectations.

Through it all, Elizabeth remains passionate about leading with heart and strategy, a philosophy shaped by her life’s journey as a mother, leader, and advocate for diversity and inclusion.

Session Details

In this personal talk, Elizabeth shares how embracing your true self—both in your personal life and career—can be your greatest strength. Drawing from her journey as a mother, leader, and lifelong learner, she reveals how authenticity fosters genuine connections, builds trust, and empowers you to overcome challenges with confidence. Through her own experiences, she demonstrates that when you embrace who you are, you unlock the potential to create meaningful impact, both professionally and personally.

We believe this will provide participants with the confidence to stand out through their authenticity in any situation: networking, interview, how they approach work. We look forward to the opportunity to grow and support WGWY members in their career development journey.
