Meet Silpa, Senior Manager, Software Dev & Engineering, Comcast

What do you love most about your job?

I love the opportunity to mentor and empower teams to grow. I’m passionate about building things that matter, whether it’s technology or strategy. Being in a space where I can translate big-picture business goals into real engineering solutions is both challenging and rewarding.

How have other women helped shape your career?

I’ve been fortunate to cross paths with incredible women who’ve made a lasting impact on my journey. Some have led by example, showing what strong, inclusive leadership looks like. Others stepped in as mentors, offering thoughtful advice during key moments in my career. Their encouragement helped me believe in myself, find my voice, and tell my story with confidence. That support has meant the world to me.

Outside of work, what’s something you are passionate about?

Outside of work, I’m passionate about volunteering, dancing, and exploring new places. I’m also a tech enthusiast at heart, always diving into new ideas and research. Giving back to the community, whether through mentorship or service, is something I hold close.

What do you value most about your membership with The WICT Network?

The WICT Network creates a powerful space for women to learn, connect, and grow. It’s been instrumental in my career journey—through mentorship, shared experiences, and a focus on advocacy and growth. One of the most exciting highlights has been leading Tech It Out event for a couple of years now. It’s an incredible platform that brings cutting-edge technology and real human connection together, and I’m so proud to be part of it.
