Candice Holt: WICT Leadership Conference Scholarship Winner!
My Experience at the WICT Leadership Conference

I’m at a pivotal moment in my career. I’m working to move from individual contributor to people leader, and that shift raises a lot of questions about what kind of leader I want to be. That’s why I’m so grateful to the Philadelphia Chapter of WICT for sponsoring my attendance at the WICT Leadership Conference, including my hotel stay and meals.
Learning from women who’ve done it
The sessions gave me real insight, but what stayed with me most was hearing women share their own first-hand accounts. They talked about
how they built their skills and found their leadership styles. Hearing those journeys in their own words showed me that there isn’t one right way to lead, and that I can find an approach that fits me.

Connections that matter
The networking was invaluable. I connected with a mentor and met other like-minded women in the industry who are navigating similar paths. I even reconnected with some former colleagues, which made the experience more meaningful. Being in a room full of people who understand the challenges and ambitions of this work is energizing in a way that’s hard to describe.
A little extra encouragement

I was also thrilled to receive a copy of All the Cool Girls Get Fired. It’s exactly what I need to lift my spirits as I navigate my career journey.
Thank you
This experience was a true highlight for me, and it wouldn’t have been possible without the generosity and support of the Philadelphia Chapter of WICT. Thank you for investing in my growth. I’m bringing what I learned into my next chapter, and I hope to pay it forward to other women who are stepping into leadership.
