The Aisuru botnet dominated headlines in 2025 as one of the largest and most destructive Distributed Denial of Service (DDoS) threats in recent history. Commanding an estimated 1–4 million compromised devices worldwide, Aisuru launched coordinated attacks routinely exceeding 1 terabit per second and even setting new records with attacks peaking at 29.7 terabits per second (Tbps) against critical online infrastructure. Techloy+1 These hyper-volumetric attacks affected a wide range of sectors, including telecommunications, gaming, cloud services, and financial services, pushing cybersecurity teams around the world to adapt in real time.
