Meet Melissa, Director, Technology and Product, Comcast

What do you love most about your job?

I love having the opportunity to work across so many areas of the business. My role allows me to partner with teams throughout Comcast to solve complex problems for both our internal and external customers. Being close to the technology that powers our products is something that has always fascinated me. I feel fortunate to contribute to the spaces where we build the innovative experiences our customers rely on.

How have other women helped shape your career?

There have been many incredible women at Comcast who have shaped my career, but the person who has influenced me the most is my wife. We both have demanding careers, and she has given me unwavering support as I’ve explored different roles and opportunities. Having a non-Comcast ally to help me talk through challenges and decisions has been invaluable. 

Outside of work, what’s something you are passionate about?

I’m passionate about staying active and spending time outdoors. I love challenging myself and discovering what we’re capable of when we push our limits. Being active with my kids is especially meaningful—I want to be a role model for them and show them the importance of movement, resilience, and fun. Whether I’m playing in field hockey leagues, skiing, strength training in my basement, or just doing yard work, it all fuels that passion.

What do you value most about your membership with The WICT Network?

WICT had a major impact early in my career when I participated in the Rising Leaders Program in Chicago. The experience offered perspectives from women across the industry and helped me reflect on the kind of leader I want to be. Since then, I’ve had the chance to attend many WICT events, and each one leaves me reenergized by the conversations, the community, and the thoughtful content. WICT continues to be a powerful source of inspiration and growth for me.
