Meet Rachel, Sr. Finance Analyst, Comcast

What do you love most about your job?

What I love most about my job is the constant mindset of improvement, it’s a culture where we’re always asking, “How can we do this better?” That challenge pushes me to grow every day and keeps the work both engaging and meaningful. I’m surrounded by incredibly talented people who consistently raise the bar, and that environment inspires me to think bigger and approach problems in new ways. I also appreciate how dynamic our industry is. It never allows you to become too comfortable, which keeps things exciting and encourages continuous learning. Every day brings a new opportunity to stretch, adapt, and improve and that’s what makes the work so fulfilling.

How have other women helped shape your career?

It’s hard for me to choose just one woman, because I’ve been incredibly fortunate to be surrounded by so many strong, influential leaders throughout my career. I feel especially grateful for the women in our finance organization, who lead with a people-first mindset. Their leadership has shaped how I aspire to show up and lead in the future. I’m also continuously inspired by the women I work alongside through WICT and Comcast Advertising's woman-based ERG. They’ve taught me so much, whether it’s how to approach challenges with creativity, embrace different leadership styles, or advocate confidently for myself. 

Outside of work, what’s something you are passionate about?

Outside of work, I’m passionate about setting personal goals and challenging myself to grow. For example, I recently completed my first half marathon which was something that once felt completely out of reach. I wasn't able to run more than a mile, but through consistent effort over the past two years, I’ve been able to build that endurance. It reinforced the value of patience and persistence for me. In a world that often leans toward instant gratification, it was incredibly rewarding to work toward something long-term and see the results of that dedication!

What do you value most about your membership with The WICT Network?

Although I’m still relatively new to WICT as a member and volunteer, I’ve already felt the impact. It’s a community of incredibly driven women who truly are a force when they come together. What stands out most is the level of support and encouragement within the group. Being surrounded by empowering individuals has helped strengthen my confidence. I’m especially grateful for the opportunity to learn from a wide range of perspectives and leadership styles. As I continue to engage with WICT, I look forward to reflecting on and building upon this impact as I grow within such a supportive community.
