Q: Why did you decide to apply for the WICT Rising Leaders Program?
Andi: I applied to the WICT Rising Leaders Program because I was seeking a leadership program that would challenge me to grow both personally and professionally. I heard from countless women who had gone through the program about what an amazing experience it had been, and knew it was the right fit for me. The opportunity to connect with like-minded peers and gain actionable leadership tools felt like the perfect next step in my development journey.
Danielle: I saw firsthand the positive impact it has had on several friends and mentors who previously attended, and that’s what led me to apply. They spoke highly of the program’s ability to inspire, challenge, and equip them with practical leadership tools. Their experiences motivated me to seek out the same opportunity for growth. Additionally, I had the privilege of attending the WICT Leadership Conference a few years ago, and it was such a meaningful and energizing experience that I knew I wanted to continue my leadership journey with WICT through this program.
Q: What are three words that would describe your experience at the program?
Andi: Inspiring, challenging, and empowering. Each day was filled with moments that pushed me to reflect, grow, and lead with greater intention. The energy in the room, the depth of the conversations, and the support from fellow participants made the experience truly unforgettable.
Danielle: Empowering, supportive, transformative. I walked away from that week feeling truly changed—as both a person and a leader. It was one of those rare experiences that left me thinking, “I can actually do this—I’m ready.” I felt empowered, energized, and more confident than I’ve ever been. What made it even more special was the incredible group of women I connected with. Their support has already meant so much to me, and even in just a few weeks, I’ve found myself reaching out to them, leaning on them, and cheering them on in return.

Q: What would you say to someone who wanted to apply?
Andi: Do it—you won’t regret it. The WICT Rising Leaders Program is more than just a leadership course; it’s a community of inspiring women who uplift and challenge each other. If you’re ready to invest in yourself, expand your network, and walk away with tools that will elevate your leadership, this program is for you. Be open, be curious, and be ready to grow.
Danielle: The Rising Leaders Program was honestly one of the best things I’ve done for myself professionally. It gave me a huge confidence boost, helped me grow as a leader, and introduced me to an amazing group of women. The relationships I built there are real—I’ve already leaned on them more than once, and I know I’ll keep turning to them. If you’re even thinking about applying, take the leap. It’s 100% worth it.
Q: What is your biggest takeaway from the experience?
Andi: My biggest takeaway is the power of authentic connection. Throughout the week, I was reminded that leadership isn’t just about strategy or execution—it’s about empathy, vulnerability, and the courage to lead with purpose. I left with a renewed sense of confidence and a toolkit of strategies I can apply immediately in my career.
Danielle: I went into the program looking for tools and guidance—and I got that—but what really stayed with me was how much I grew through the relationships I built. Being surrounded by such strong, supportive women reminded me that leadership isn’t something you have to figure out alone. The environment was incredibly open and honest—everyone showed up as their true selves, which created a space where real growth could happen. I left feeling more confident, more capable, and more connected than ever before.
