Yvette currently works as the owner of Clarke Innovations where she focuses on helping to identify, improve and inspire innovation and innovative processes.

Previously, she worked as the Director of Patent Development at Comcast NBCUniversal. As part of the Strategic Intellectual Property Team, Yvette worked closely with engineers and senior leaders to capture the innovation that is occurring at every level of the company. Yvette was instrumental in developing the internal patent development process including establishing the Patent Review Committee and the Employee Recognition Program.

Before joining Comcast, Yvette worked as a Patent Agent for Sedna Services where she managed a portfolio of over 1,000 active matters. Yvette also worked at the U. S. Patent and Trademark Office as a Primary Patent Examiner in Photoresist Compositions. Yvette holds a Master of Science degree in Chemistry from the University of Virginia and a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry from Norfolk State University where she was a Dozoretz National Institute for Mathematics and Applied Sciences (DNIMAS) Scholar.

Yvette currently lives in the Philadelphia area and is the mother to two children and a bonus daughter. Yvette is an advocate for non-traditional abilities and is an active supporter of the National Down Syndrome Society. She has a passion for learning new things, developing programs and processes that improve the customer experience, and fostering change. Yvette is currently learning American Sign Language (ASL) and teaching herself python programming language.
